The insect-repellent effect of Reima BugProof clothes is based on lemongrass extract that contains geraniol (biocide) as active substance. This extract is applied on the fabric in a durable finish that keeps its efficiency very well, for even more than 50 washes. It has a mild lemonish fragrance that is pleasant to humans, but repels mosquitoes, ticks and other insects so kids can enjoy the outdoors worry-free. Remember to protect the uncovered areas of skin with a repellent lotion – our clothes only protect the skin under the clothing. Use repellents safely.
